In orbit, you fly.

Take jobs at outposts, run cargo, hunt bounties, break blockades, and get in the way of things much larger than you.

Contracts come with conditions: a bad bearing, a warden that has to die first, or a wing of hunters that arrives while you are still working. You know the condition before accepting the contract — and exactly how much extra it pays.

Then you descend through the atmosphere and get out on foot.

Volcanic worlds hide launch complexes with rockets still standing on their pads. Ice worlds have abandoned research stations raised high above the surface.

THE SECTOR DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU

An asteroid can enter the atmosphere of the planet you are orbiting and strike the surface below. If you are too close, the shockwave will throw your ship.

The wildlife has its own problems.

One creature charges up and releases an expanding ring of energy that you have to outrun. Another curls into a ball and launches itself in a straight line. Step aside and let it commit.

Another simply has somewhere to be.

It will ignore you completely.

Until you shoot it.

As your standing increases, five different ship hulls become available. Each one asks you to give something up.

Faster means thinner.
More cargo means worse handling.
More firepower means less of everything else.
